Our employees make Alpha the strong, respected business it has been for more than 45 years. This month we would like to introduce you to one of our great team members, Office Manager Kaitlin Lesser. From invoicing to documentation, we can count on Kaitlin to keep the business running smoothly. Though she started in September 2021 as a Production Specialist, with her background in billing and office management she quickly became Office Manager in early 2022.
Kaitlin graduated from Dexter schools and pursued a business degree from Washtenaw Community College, minoring in Marketing. She’s not only a member of the Alpha team: she also works alongside her husband, a fifth-generation farmer in Dexter, in the agricultural industry. When she’s not working, she loves gardening, scrapbooking, hanging out with friends, camping and boating, and playing with her two cats, Callie and Shadow.
So far, she says her experiences at Alpha have been great. “I have never worked within a company that cares about their employees and customers as much as they do here at Alpha Metal Finishing,” she says. “They treat you like family and are always genuinely concerned about your well being.”
Her job is particularly enjoyable because of the people she works with every day. “I enjoy interacting with our customers and my coworkers,” she says. “It's very gratifying to be told that you're doing a great job, whether that be from a customer, your supervisor, or a fellow coworker.”
“The level of respect and trust within Alpha has opened my eyes to what a company should be. I enjoy working as a team to accomplish tasks and have the best outcome for our customers,” she added: “It's extremely rare to find a respectful, honest, and hardworking company to work for nowadays, but Alpha runs like a well-oiled machine and it shows in the work we produce and the attitudes the employees have at the end of a work day. I am truly blessed to be a part of this team.”
