DEXTER, MICHIGAN - Alpha Metal Finishing Company today announces the following promotions within its staff:

Greg Wood, Chief Operating Officer
Wood has been promoted from director of business development to chief operating officer. He started at Alpha Metal Finishing Company in May of 2010. Prior to Alpha Metal Finishing, Wood served as account executive for three years at GetService, an information technology firm based in Grand Rapids. He holds a degree in personnel administration from Michigan State University. At Alpha Metal Finishing Company, Wood’s primary responsibilities include leading day-to-day operations.  Wood reports to Alpha’s CEO and Advisory Board. He also participates in the short and long-term strategic planning of Alpha, oversees sales and marketing, as well as information technology and human resources. Wood will work with the CEO on projects related to production, process and quality.

Laurie Armstrong, Sales & General Manager
Armstrong has been promoted from sales and marketing manager to sales and general manager. She started at Alpha Metal Finishing Company in May of 2010. Prior to Alpha, Armstrong served as the owner/founder of Integrity Cleaning Group, LLC for three years. She holds a degree in public relations from Eastern Michigan University. Armstrong’s primary responsibilities at Alpha include leadership of quality, production, and process departments to ensure that Alpha provides superior quality, rapid turnaround and outstanding customer service to clients. She is also responsible for developing and maintaining a proactive outside sales strategy, assisting the COO in developing employees to their maximum potential and maintaining the values and culture of Alpha Metal Finishing.
